Our stay had its ups and downs. The view from our room was absolutely gorgeous, and we really enjoyed watching the sunset over the lake. The room itself was clean but felt a bit outdated, and the breakfast options left a lot to be desired. It would have been nice to have access to the bars, which were closed during our visit. Overall, while I appreciated the location and the comfy bed, I think the hotel needs some improvements to really deserve the 'resort' label.

I had high hopes for my stay, given the location right on the beach and all the amenities the hotel claimed to offer. However, my experience was tainted by a dirty room that clearly needed some TLC, and I ended up feeling it wasn't worth the hefty price tag. While I did enjoy the pools and beach bar, the overall stay left a lot to be desired, especially considering how much I paid.

I had an amazing stay at The Margate Resort, with breathtaking views of Paugus Bay and beautiful grounds. The beach and pool facilities were enjoyable, but the breakfast options left something to be desired, especially considering the reliance on disposable plastics.
